Common information categories

Depending on the system and clinical purpose, interrogation can include battery status, lead measurements, sensing data, pacing thresholds, pacing percentages, programmed settings, arrhythmia counters, alerts and stored electrograms.

Trend > isolated number

A measurement should be interpreted against prior values, implant history, lead type, patient rhythm and the manufacturer's expected behavior. A single value without context can be misleading.

An alert is present

Identify the exact alert and associated trend/episode information rather than assuming the clinical significance from the alert label alone. Escalate according to the device clinic's workflow.

Which is generally more informative when reviewing a device measurement?

Educational scope: Device programming, implant decisions, therapy changes, alerts and patient management require appropriately credentialed clinicians, institutional protocols, and current manufacturer instructions.
