Propagation is reconstructed timing
A propagation map turns annotated timing values into motion. That can make activation easier to conceptualize, but it does not create new electrophysiologic evidence. Sparse sampling and interpolation can visually bridge areas where no direct point was acquired.
What would you check?
The animation appears to “jump” across a region
Ask whether the gap is true block, missing points, annotation error, poor signal quality, anatomy not represented on the surface, or activation traveling through tissue not captured by the current map.
A smooth propagation animation proves the mechanism. True or false?
